Alameda Healthcare Group and Pharco Corporation Sign Memorandum of Understanding Focused on Chronic Disease Care and Medical Education
Alameda Healthcare Group, the leading private healthcare provider in Egypt, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pharco Corporation to collaborate on patient support, disease awareness, and scientific and medical education, with a focus on chronic disease care. Pharco Corporation is an Egyptian pharmaceutical group whose 13 companies span the full pharmaceutical value chain, with medicines reaching more than 60 markets.
The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of Alameda Healthcare Group’s Annual Conference, now in its second edition, at the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile Hotel. Dr. Fahad Khater, Chairman of Alameda Healthcare Group, and Dr. Sherine Helmy, Chairman of Pharco Corporation, signed on behalf of their organisations, in the presence of senior leadership from both sides, including Mr. Neeraj Mishra, Group Chief Executive Officer of Alameda Healthcare Group, Eng. Ezz Helmy, Chief Export Officer of Pharco Corporation; and Dr. Mohamed Shawki, Corporate Commercial & Market Access Director of Pharco Corporation.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will work together across three areas: patient support, disease awareness, and scientific and medical education, with chronic disease care as a central focus. Planned activities, subject to agreed work plans, include screening for diabetes and hypertension, awareness initiatives for patients, and scientific exchange and educational activities for Alameda’s healthcare professionals. Guided by patient benefit, all initiatives will be carried out in line with applicable ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Khater said: “Alameda is building a network defined by scale, clinical quality and strategic partnerships. Our agreement with Pharco reflects our long-term commitment to investing in the capabilities and alliances that will shape the future of healthcare in Egypt, and to extending the reach of integrated, patient-centred care.”
Mr. Mishra added: “Our priority now is to translate this agreement into practical programmes that patients and our clinicians experience in daily care, delivered with clear plans and measurable outcomes.”
Dr. Helmy added: “We are happy to sign this strategic partnership with Alameda Healthcare Group, which represents an important step towards strengthening the integration between the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare service delivery. We believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing safe and effective medicines to encompass supporting health awareness, promoting early detection and developing patient support programmes, alongside investing in continuing medical education and the exchange of expertise. We look forward to this collaboration making a positive and sustainable impact on patients’ health and the wider community.”
The agreement reflects Alameda Healthcare Group’s commitment to working with partners across the healthcare sector to improve patient care and strengthen medical education.
