Dr. ElGarawany is a healthcare professional boasting over 22 years of international exposure and experience with some of the leading healthcare organizations. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Dar Al Fouad Hospital in 6th of October, Egypt.

Prior to joining Alameda, Dr. ElGarawany served as the Chief Executive Officer of Al Araby Hospital Group in Egypt where he successfully led the 300-bed hospital to become the first hospital in the MENA region to get JCI accreditation on the 7th edition. He also implemented the SAP system and introduced electronic health records and supervised project restructuring leading to stronger hospital performance.

Dr. ElGarawany also served as the Regional Director of Operations at Primary Healthcare Corporation in Qatar, leading a group of 10 healthcare medical centers and leading a complete transformation project.

Earlier, he served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Saudi German Hospital in KSA, where he led a complete process transformation and successfully led the hospital to being financially profitable. During his time with the Saudi German Hospital, he was successful in attaining the JCI accreditation.

Dr. ElGarawany also spent time as a Head for the Healthcare Administration Department at Umm Al Qura University in the KSA, where he taught healthcare management subjects to undergraduates.

Dr. ElGarawany is a physician graduated from Cairo University. He holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Logistics Management from the Arab Academy for Science & Technology, also he holds a Diploma in Healthcare and Hospital Management from the American University in Cairo.
